The ongoing search to find the Hawk Tuah Spit on that Thing (Thang) girl might or might not be over as some netizens claim one Haley Welch of Nashville is the infamous lady they’re looking for while others contend she’s not.
In case you live under a rock, the Hawk Tuah girl is the latest internet viral sensation.
She went viral after being asked a simple question about one thing in bed that makes men go crazy and she responded with the now immortalized words: “Oh, you gotta give him that hawk tuah and spit on that thang! You get me?”
Her infectious laugh and unabashed s*xuality coupled with her friend’s reaction (she was literally dying) catapulted her interview into meme royalty and sparked an intense search to find out the identity of the girl in the video.
Is Hailey Welch of Nashville the Hawk Tuah Spit on that thing girl?
The search to find the identity of the Hawk Tuah girl commenced immediately the video started going viral on TikTok and Instagram.
The video was originally posted by Youtubers and social media content creators Tim and Dee, who generally go around asking questions of people they meet in the street and filming it for their channel.

One fateful day in Nashville Tennessee, they would meet two girls whose answers would forever change their lives.
In the short clip, Tim and Dee posted to Instagram reels and later to TikTok, they asked two ladies the question: “What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?”
One of the ladies who the internet swears is Hailey Welch (more on that later) then answered: “Oh, you gotta give him that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang,” she said in her Southern accent.
Her charming southern drawl as well as the pains she took to demonstrate the onomatopoeia for hocking and spitting completely enthralled the entire internet and one of the most infamous memes of all time was born.
The video racked up millions of views across Instagram and TikTok and the search was on to find the elusive ‘Hawk Tuuh girl’.
As the internet raced to find out this apparent s*xual goddess who can make the dream of every man come true, some names started popping up that people alleged were her.
One person the internet initially nominated as the Hawk tuah girl but who came out to deny the honor was Tiktoker Elayna Robinson.
Robinson quickly came out to deny the identification, sharing a video of her denying being the hawk tuah girl.
She also posted in her bio: “Not the hawk tuah girl. Just a regular girl who loves Jesus!”
Another person the internet settled on as the Hawk Tuah girl was Haley Welch of Nashville. That was the name commented on by the originators of the video Tim & Dee on their original Instagram video. Her friend was also identified as Chelsea Bradford.
No social media accounts being Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or X (formerly Twitter) appear to be evident for Welch.
However, a VSCO account for Chelsea Bradford showed her in a photo with Haley Welch indicating that Bradford’s name is at least right but giving us no indication of the accuracy of Welch’s.
Nevertheless, the internet is currently convinced they found the Hawk Tuah girl’s name but she remains in hiding, for now at least.
Unlike most people who break out, the Hawk Tuah girl is not coming out to capitalize on her fifteen minutes, although that might have something to do with the subject matter of her breakthrough video!
Wherever she is, the internet is waiting with bated breath for when she resurfaces, so we can finally find out whether the name we’ve all decided for her is right or not!
Katie Vickers Somerset
A few days after Hailey Welch was identified as the real Hawk Tuah girl, a new story emerged from Facebook alleging a different identity for her.
The Somerset Insider, writing on its page, claimed that the viral girl in the video was actually from Somerset, Kentucky, was named Katie Vickers, and was the daughter of a pastor, Harley Vickers of Little Hope Baptist Church!
This alternate story went crazily viral and started casting doubt on the identity of the Hawk Tuah girl but there’s a twist to it.
