A Nepali international student at the Houston Community College has been found dead in her apartment in Houston, TX.
Muna Pandey was found shot and killed Monday evening by officers of the Houston Police Department.
HPD officers were dispatched to an address West Airport Boulevard and found the 21-year-old deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
No suspects have been named at this time.
Pandey reportedly came to the U.S. in 2021 to study, according to Nepali media reports. She was the only child of her family and her mother, who lives in Kathmandu, has been notified of her death.
Friends who knew Pandey in the United States have told Nepali media sources that she was in a troubled relationship with a white American man.
Authorities are yet to make an arrest in the case but Pandey’s friends are calling for justice to be served.
