“Gabe and his partner, Denzel, recently became new homeowners and were in the process of making the house their home. There was not a soul that Gabe met that he did not leave an impression on, he always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. His ability to include everyone and make them feel seen and appreciated is unmatched. Gabe was kind, smart, hilarious, and so incredibly positive,” the fundraiser said.

It asked for donations to be given to Denzel (Gabe’s partner) for funeral and living expenses.

The GoFundMe at the time of publication had raised just over $31,000 raised of its $75,000 goal.

According to reporting, the driver involved in the crash had a troubling history of DWI’s.
