Alexcia Lynch, 15, of Syracuse, had lofty dreams of one day becoming a nurse but tragically, was killed by another 15-year-old boy.
Lynch was shot around 8:15 p.m. on Friday, August 30 at the 900 block of Madison Street in Syracuse.
Syracuse Police officers who arrived at the scene attempted to resuscitate her but she was pronounced dead.
On Saturday, August 31, a 15-year-old male suspect turned himself in to the Syracuse Police Department at the Public Safety Building.
The suspect was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
He is being held at the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center. Police have yet to identify the suspect.
