A man is wanted for the murder of his own mother in Jackson, Mississippi.
Jerry Banks, 42, of Jackson MS, has gone on the run after physically attacking his mother, Louise Banks-Tornes, 63, and killing her.
The incident occurred inside Tornes’ house on the 900 block of Carver Street in Jackson on Wednesday.
According to police, the cause of death is blunt force trauma. Torne had eight children, four daughters and four sons.
According to witnesses, Banks chased his great-aunt around with a knife after assaulting his mom. She ran into her own home and hid from him in a closet.
Meanwhile, Jackson Police are on the lookout for Banks. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
