An Endicott, NY mother identified as Tiffany Ferrell and her first-born son, Colin, were both killed in a tragic car accident that has left their community shook.
Tiffany, 44, and Colin, 18, were reportedly returning from a trip to his college orientation when tragedy struck.
They were involved in a wreck that took the lives of both mother and son.
Tiffany Ferrell and Son Killed in Chemung Car Accident
The car accident that took the lives of mother and son Tiffany and Colin Ferrell occurred on Friday, July 19, 2024, around 4:51 p.m.
According to the New York State Police, a two-car head-on collision on I-86 eastbound in the town of Chemung took the lives of all three involved.
Colin was driving a 2015 Accura RDX traveling eastbound on I-86 when the other driver, 36-year-old Steven Mallory driving Westbound, crossed over the median and struck their vehicle.
All three died on the scene.
The tragic news of Tiffany and her son’s death shook those who knew the family.
Tributes to the duo described Tiffany as a most loving and generous person who would do anything for her friends and family and indeed, even for those she had never met.
Colin was also described as always sweet, polite, kind like his mother, and very funny.
Following their passing, a GoFundMe was started to raise money to help the family left behind in this difficult time – Dan Pasquale and their two kids Landon and Olivia.

Melinda Spooner, the fundraiser’s organizer, wrote on the platform: ‘One of the most loved family is experiencing an unimaginable tragedy. My dearest friend and her firstborn son were killed in a car accident traveling home from college orientation.
‘Tiffany Ferrell has the largest heart and has always been there for everyone. She was full of life and could make anyone smile and laugh.’ the post read.
The post asked for donations to help the family with the unexpected funeral expenses.
The fundraiser, at the time of this post had raised $86,851 of its $100k goal.
Losing one family member at any time is brutal, losing two at a go would be unimaginable.
