Taylor Anderson was a zipline tour guide for a mega Zip Lines operator in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, known as Ozark Mountain Zip Lines, where many people go for the time of their lives.

Anderson was a pretty experienced operator who had gone on thousands of previous exhilarating trips with tourists and had his job down to a science.

But it only takes one incident, as the old saying goes.

In July 2022, Anderson was on a routine job when everything went wrong.

As he ziplined with his clients beside him, Anderson’s line broke and he suffered a brutal fall that in other circumstances might have been fatal but which he luckily escaped.

His head and shoulders slammed into the ground from the fall and he suffered serious injuries.

Taylor himself spoke on his injuries after setting up a GoFundMe fundraiser to raise money for his surgeries.

According to him, he suffered ” a severe concussion and a very serious shoulder injury,” which required surgery.

The surgery, which he had on the 14th of July 2022, had an expected recovery time of 4-6 months.

Anderson underwent a minimum of 8 weeks of physical therapy after the surgery.

According to Anderson, that long layoff from work will hit his pocket hard, hence the reason for the fundraiser.

“Unfortunately I will be unable to work during this recovery time. I am starting this fundraiser to help with the cost of going to physical therapy along with my daily expenses. With the continued love and support from everyone I will heal; this will just take some time. Thank you to everyone for your support,” he said.

Unfortunately, despite his surgery, Taylor was still not fully healed and had to undergo a second surgery, as evidenced by an update he shared to his GoFundMe page.

“Still not right after my first surgery. Looks like I’ll have to have another,” Taylor said as he shared a photo showing his shoulder still looking not quite right despite his surgery.

Information about Anderson’s current condition is unavailable as there have been no updates on his fundraiser since the 1st of August 2022 when he wrote about his still mangled shoulder.

Nevertheless, at this point almost a couple of years later, we can imagine that he’s in a far better condition than he was back then.

Maybe, Anderson might even be back to working as a zipline operator, having put the terrible experience behind him and working on what he loves most once again.

At least, that’s what we hope. It would be nice for a story to have a happy ending for once.
