A 16-year-old teenager identified as Santiago Torres had his life tragically cut short after a car crash in Orlando ended up with his death.

Torres was driving a 2006 Ford Fusion southbound on International Drive when the tragic accident occurred.

The car struck a curb at high speed, crashed through a concrete sign, and collided with several palm trees beside the road.

Torres died instantly while his passenger, also a 16-year-old yet to be identified, survived with grievous injuries.

Since news of the accident emerged, friends, family, and loved ones of the young ones involved in the crash have been mourning the death of Torres.

He was described as a young man with a bright future whose life has tragically been cut short in its prime.

Santiago Torres was only 16 years old and was out for a joyride on the town with his friend, a teen of the same age when everything went wrong and his life tragically ended in an Orlando car crash.

He was a beloved figure, known for bringing joy to others including friends and family, who are truly mourning his death in such a tragic occurrence.

Torres according to reports attended a local high school in Kissimmee and was a good student by all accounts, active in academic and extracurricular activities including being in a few clubs.

The timeline leading to Torres’ death started the moment he made a decision to go for a ride, not knowing it would be his last.

As is well known, there are few things more exciting for a teenager than finally getting their license after turning 16 and then getting a chance to hit the road and have fun driving a car.

Torres appeared to have been in such a joyous mood when he and his friend stepped out in a 2006 Ford Fusion for a fun time on Monday, June 3rd.

Just after midnight, Santiago Torres, from Kissimmee, and his yet-to-be-identified friend, from Orlando, were cruising down along International Drive in Orange County in the area of Westwood Boulevard when things went horribly wrong.

Torres lost control of the vehicle after striking a curb, sending the car into a wild sequence that left it badly damaged and led to the death of the 16-year-old.

According to the Florida Highway patrol, the Ford crashed through a concrete sign, and collided with several palm trees on the side of the road before coming to a rest tangled among the palm trees after also striking an entrance sign to an apartment complex.

The car left a trail of debris behind it as it was horribly damaged, almost beyond recognition.

Torres’ 16-year-old passenger luckily survived and was sent to the Orlando Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

Life often throws such tragedies one’s way and for the family of Torres, they now have to deal with the trauma of losing him so early.

Despite his young age, Torres will be remembered fondly and will forever stay in the hearts of those he loved.
