Many followers of Trahan revealed how they waited with bated breath for today and raided their local Target as early as possible to get their hands on the candy.
“Angelo has been following Ryan Trahan for a while. Today was Ryan’s Joyride Sweets debut at Target . So of course, he was there early morning to try them all! He is so happy there’s finally a healthy and popular vegan candy he can eat!” one Claudia Rose-Jones posted on Facebook about her son.

Reddit, X (formerly Twitter), and other platforms all saw similarly effusive praise.
Trahan joined the candy brand JOYRIDE in February 2024 as co-owner and Chief Creative Officer.
His new line, launched on Saturday, June 15th, appears to have been a rousing success by all metrics.
He told Forbes about his inspiration for his candy.
“My dream is to change the way the world eats candy by making a great candy without junk ingredients,” the Eagle Pass native said.
“I never thought I’d be able to say I eat candy every day and feel good about it, but here I am,” he added.
