Ryan McCabe, Odro founder and CEO has been identified as a Glasgow man who was killed in an accident in recent days.

McCabe, a business luminary who founded Odro to revolutionize the corporate hiring process, tragically lost his life in the crash.

His death has sparked an outpouring of support as many eulogize him for his immense impact on the world through his personal and professional activities.

Ryan McCabe the founder of the recruiting company Odro which promises ‘humanizing’ the hiring process, has sadly died.

McCabe died in an accident according to online news reports which identified him as the victim of a Glasgow crash.

Odro, the company he founded also shared a post on Monday confirming the tragic news of his passing.

The company began: “We are truly heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Ryan McCabe, the Founder and CEO of Odro, on Saturday 22nd June 2024. Our loss is profound,”

The statement was laden with praise for McCabe, described as a “dedicated family man, a great friend, an inspirational leader…and a wonderful human being,”

McCabe’s influence on the entire global recruiting industry which he had revolutionized with the founding of his company was not forgotten as well.

After years of working in numerous companies in Glasgow including as Operations manager with the Emtec Group and Director of Recruitment Agencies Silverback & Zenith, McCabe started his own firm, Odro, in 2015 and ran it until his untimely death.

The multi-award-winning agency grew from a small operation to one of the world’s leading recruitment firms.

This was done with the development of numerous creative tools to aid the recruitment process or to ‘humanize’ it, as Odro’s branding often proclaimed.

The company won awards to back its claims as its HD video messaging tool Capture™ won the TALiNT’s coveted Innovation of the Year award in 2019 and another engagement product, Producer, took the crown in 2020.

McCabe’s competence and effectiveness was unparalleled and he was respected by all in his industry.

Timothy Hogwood, CEO & Co-Founder at SourceWhale said: “There is a reason why nearly every eulogy mentions the positivity he brought wherever he was and how willing he was to help out others. In the early days of SourceWhale he was always there to provide me with guidance without ever asking for anything in return,”

Ryan McCabe leaves behind a wife and three beautiful children.

His impact on the global recruitment game as well as his delightful nature, willingness to help others, and fierce competitiveness will be remembered as his legacy.
