Rory Beck, a beloved veterinary technician at the Karnes City Veterinary Hospital, has sadly died, losing her life after a tragic car accident.
A fatal traffic collision claimed the life of Beck, who according to friends was returning from a wedding late Friday/ early Saturday.
The news of Beck’s death has elicited touching tributes in her honor, with many hailing her compassion and many other human qualities, her love for animals as well as her proficiency as a vet tech.

A dearly beloved veterinary technician with Karnes City Veterinary Hospital in Karnes County, Texas, Rory Beck, is dead.
Beck, of Stockdale, Texas, died in an accident late Friday/early Saturday, according to her close family and friends.
A post from Megan Boyd-Robertson to inform the world of Beck’s death read: “We are devastated to announce Rory Beck passed away in an auto accident after coming home from a wedding last night/early this morning,”
The post continued that further details on Beck’s memorial and other events will be announced in the coming days once arrangements are finalized.

Boyd-Robertson expressed awe at the breadth and depth of tributes dedicated to Beck, a clear testament to the amazing impact she’d made on the world while alive.
Beck hailed from Corpus Christi, Texas, a graduate of Texas A&M University – Kingsville, where she studied agriculture.
She made a name for herself as the proficient Veterinary Technician (Vet Tech) at Karnes City Veterinary Hospital, a vet facility serving Karnes County and beyond.
Beck’s passing was heavily mourned by the hospital as well, which announced it was temporarily going to remain closed next week to handle this tragic loss.
“It is with a heavy heart and tears in our eyes that we at Karnes City Veterinary Hospital have experienced with a loss of one of our own. Rory Beck, our lead vet assistant, tragically passed away early this morning. Please bear with us as we navigate this delicate time,” their post read.
Rory’s character was also praised in a touching tribute from Shawn Gilmore who noted her ability to elicit a smile from almost anyone due to her charming nature.
Gilmore said he’d spent all day trying to decide how to put down his emotions. He spent Beck was a wonderful friend and mentor to all she knew, particularly those in the vet business.
“…you were the chaos factor that could bring a smile to all of our faces and occasional eye roll. You were always dedicated to your patients and friends. You treated everyone the way you wanted to be treated… you took a leadership role and taught so much to your colleagues,” Gilmore’s post read.
Shawn said what he’d miss most was how strong-willed, independent, compassionate, goofy, and kind-hearted Beck was.
Final arrangements for the funeral and memorial of Beck are yet to be announced.
Rory Beck’s passing has taken a dedicated and passionate protector of animals off this Earth.
Her compassion, seen through her work and life, endeared many to her, sending them into deep mourning with news of her passing.
Beck will be sorely missed and while the Earth lost an angel, heaven gained one, as perfectly articulated by Mr Gilmore.
