Columbus police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting that left two people dead.
Nicole Pannell, 41, of Columbus Ohio, also known as Nikki Dortch, was found dead from gunshot wounds alongside a man, Kristian Hives, 31.
They were both found dead at a home on Pine Rise Court in the Northern Woods neighborhood, near Cooper Road around 11:15 p.m. Monday.
Police are investigating the shooting as a murder-suicide.
According to Columbus Police, Pannell was found dead in the property’s basement while Hives was found unresponsive in the backyard.
Relatives of the victim took to social media to mourn her.
“I got the call that my cousin was murdered in Columbus, I only wish I could have done something! Damn!! What a cowardly act!! My Beautiful Cousin! 💔💔💔Nikki Dortch” one post read.
