A top-notch student of the Washington University in St Louis who had a massive future ahead of her, Maya Anopolsky, has unfortunately lost her life in an accident.
Maya, born October 1st, 2002, died at the very young age of 21 on May 28th, 2024, her cause of death believed to be an accident.
A beacon of hope that was poised to bring brightness to the world, in the lives of her family, friends, colleagues and the universe at large, has been extinguished in a very tragic fashion.
Maya’s educational brilliance, her charismatic personality, and guaranteed future accolades have all been cut short, throwing her family and friends into mourning.
She may be gone but Maya would be remembered forever, thanks to what she managed to accomplish in her short time on this planet.

Maya Anopolsky was born Maya Rae Anopolsky to Jennifer and Sanford Anopolsky of Bethesda, MD.
She was born in Los Angeles, California, and has two siblings, Robert and Max.
Despite being born in LA, Maya was raised in her parent’s hometown of Bethesda where she attended the Holton-Arms school, a preparatory school for girls grades 3 through 12.
Anopolsky displayed intelligence, intellectual curiosity and leadership throughout her time at the school, making her stand out as a student with an undisputedly bright future.

She continued to work hard at realizing that future by enrolling in a suitable college where she could hone her skills.
Maya was doing just that as at the time of her death, she was embarking on a professional journey towards greatness, having enrolled at the Washington University in St. Louis where she was studying marketing and psychology.
Maya was a junior and her studies were focused on the intersections of Psychological and Brain Sciences, Marketing, and Social Impact.
In her years at WashU, Maya had distinguished herself once more with her intelligence and grace and became a leader among her peers.

Despite her passing, Maya remains in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, remembered for her love of travel, music, art, poetry, animals, plants, and flowers – the latter two encapsulated in a garden she tended to alongside her mother.
Life often doesn’t go how one expects yet, when such tragedies happen, the best way to react is by keeping alive the memories of those tragically taken away.
