Authorities discovered two people dead early Monday morning in a home in Gilbert and since then everyone has been on the lookout for the identification of the couple.
The couple died in a suspected murder-suicide, a particularly gruesome means of homicide/suicide that for some reason has become all too prevalent in the United States.

The Gilbert, AZ murder-suicide occurred early Monday, May 13th, 2024 when police were called to a home in the 1400 block of East Ivanhoe Street in Gilbert to find two people dead.
Typically in such situations, the authorities make a preliminary call based on the gunshot patterns – with usually one partner clearly shot dead and the other dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The same pattern was discernible here leading to the early conclusion of a murder-suicide.
Initially, the identities of the couple were yet to be revealed but on Wednesday, May 15th, police finally released the names of the couple involved and confirmed our prescient reporting on this incident.
Who was Matthew Matt Blevins of Gilbert, AZ?
Matthew Matt Blevins was a truck driver turned owner of a freight hauling company from Gilbert whose was identified as the male suspect in a murder-suicide on Monday, May 13th.
Gilbert PD identified the couple on Wednesday as 28-year-old Brooke Lundy and 40-year-old Matthew Blevins.
Investigators determined Lundy had been shot multiple times while Blevins died from suicide.
While still in the early phases of their investigation, Gilbert PD revealed that Blevins and Lundy were in a relationship.
How long they had been dating and other more minute details are expected to be revealed in the cause of the investigation.
This information came as no surprise as most murder-suicides typically involve a domestic situation – mostly between couples.
So what do we know about Matt Blevins? He is the owner of Belvins Transport, according to his LinkedIn page.
According to roserocket.com, his company Blevins Transport is an “an active carrier in Gilbert, Arizona… [that] transports general freight, and more,”
The company, which is registered as an LLC, has its address at 1451 E Ivanhoe St, Gilbert, AZ.
Regarding his girlfriend Brooke Lundy, not much information is publicly available about her at this time.
The two bodies in the Gilbert tragedy were found at a home in the 1400 block of East Ivanhoe Street.
