A stunning death has hit the drag racing community as Popular Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings Star, Lizzy Musi has died, leaving her family and fans distraught over the tragic news.
In fact, many are struggling to come to terms with the news as they scramble onto social media platforms and search engines to find out the answer to one question – did Lizzy Musi die?
The answer is yes, she, unfortunately, passed away following her battle with Breast Cancer. May she rest in peace.

Lizzy Musi, of Mooresville NC, was a popular drag racer who starred in Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings.
She was born to infamous racer and renowned engine builder, Pat Musi, winner of at least eight professional Street World Championships, and his wife, Elizabeth, on January 1st, 1991. Lizzy has one sister, Patricia, named after their dad just as she was named after their mom.
Lizzy grew up in drag racing culture and was already racing as a teen, entering the business full-time in her dad’s shop following her graduation from Carter High School.
Her first races came at the junior level before being adjudged Rookie of the Year after her win at the inaugural Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) in Virginia.

Like her father, Lizzy quickly became eerily accomplished in drag racing and was a mainstay in the Street Outlawz series, starring in Street Outlaws: Gone Girl and at the time of her death, Street Outlawz: No Prep Kings.

Lizzy Musi was not married but had gotten engaged to fellow racer Kye Kelley until some drama led to their breakup just after her cancer diagnosis.
Kye and Lizzy had been dating since 2017 and after four years together, got engaged in November 2021. However, they broke up in July 2023 ahead of their planned November 2023 wedding!
Following the breakup, Lizzy accused Kyle of failing to make time for her as he kept racing while she battled cancer.
Eventually, Musi found love once more in the hands of Jeffrey Earnhardt, a NASCAR driver and grandson of Dale Earnhardt.
Cancer
Everything appeared to be going well for Lizzy until one fateful day in December 2022 when she noticed a lump on her breast.
A visit to the doctor ended up with the worst diagnosis – breast cancer!
“It’s one of the fastest and most aggressive breast cancers that you can have. It’s something that I didn’t want to hear,” she said in an interview.
“I felt numb when I got the news. My dad and mom were there with me, and we were in the middle of testing the race car for the upcoming season of Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings. It was hard to tell everyone – what do you do? I couldn’t believe that I actually had to say that I had cancer,” she added.
Lizzy said the cancer spread to her liver and lymph nodes, making things worse.
Brave as always, Lizzy had been fighting the cancer since then but eventually, she succumbed to the ravages of this dangerous disease that is uniquely damaging to humans once it grabs you in its clutches.

Tragically, Lizzy lost her battle with breast cancer very late on Thursday, June 27th, 2024.
Her father, Pat, took to social media to announce the tragic news, writing: “Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight . Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle , At this time , the family would like to have time to process, grief and make arrangements in peace. we will give an update as soon as we have information to share,”
Tributes immediately started flowing in for Lizzy, with colleagues and fellow drag racing stars chiming in.
“Absolutely heart broken, 💔she is a fighter… Maddie and I are on the way to Cordova to get back to racing and we are just at a loss for words. We love you Lizzy Musi RIP ,” Chuck / Death Trap wrote.
“Lizzy Musi was taken from us too soon. She was the sweetest person and a fierce competitor, a role model to young women around the world,” Trent Butler added.
The sad death of Lizzy Musi has left the drag racing community in deep mourning, with many remembering her as a fearless competitor and an incredibly sweet person who was a great role model to the youth.
Cancer, as it often does, has proven itself once more as one of the hardest challenges any human could endure and Musi faced her battles with grace and poise, embodying the spirit she had shown throughout her life and in racing.
She would surely be remembered. May she rest in peace.
