Lily Lang, or Lilly Lang no one seems to be quite sure, has emerged on social media as a worthy successor to the Hawk Tuah Girl, all of a sudden completely sucking out all oxygen out of the room as the only topic worthy of discussion.

Lang has gone massively viral on X (formerly Twitter), the subject of a story that has united all factions and completely got everyone having something to say.

So who is Lilly Lang and why is her story trending so much? What is the burnerverse? Let’s explain it all to you.

Lilly Lang, Tennessee Female Student Goes Viral for Allegedly Sm#shing Dozens of Boys in the SEC

who is lily lang

According to our social media research, Lily Lang is a female college student at Tennessee who is trending for all the wrong reasons after a decision to share an innocuous photo with her boyfriend went wrong.

Lang wanted to celebrate her boyfriend on his birthday and shared a photo of them together, but that sparked off a firestorm of other college students in the famed Southeastern Conference (SEC) all coming out to claim that they had already ‘taken her down’.

The long list of boys who came out to make this claim immediately turned Lily Lang into a new internet meme, a less-virtuous successor to the beloved Hailey Welch also known as the Hawk Tuah girl.

TikTok user Taylorscoldtakes shared a video breaking down the entire scenario: “Lily Lang is a freshman that goes to Tennessee and the reason she has blown up today is she posted a birthday photo for her boyfriend and all the frat dudes she has slept with over the past year have decided to come out…,”

X user John hand also added his own context: “...Some said she been sleeping with 100+ dudes. She posted a birthday greeting to her alleged bf then some so called guys who slept with her repost her pic saying the guy is dating a h*e without him knowing,”

In a follow-up tweet, John explained the burnerverse which is a supposed text chain of multiple SEC schools in which many male students are fessing up to relations with Ms Lang.

Memes about her started springing up all over the social media timeline, depicting her as the biggest s-word the world had ever seen.

One meme showed her atop a photo of all SEC schools as the queen of h*es.

Another video meme was completely devastating, showing a never-ending chain of guys entering ‘Lili Lang’s door’.

Nevertheless, some people have jumped to Lang’s defense, describing the attacks on her as juvenile and s*xist, especially considering frat boys can b*ng all the girls they want yet a college girl can be embarrassed so publicly over the same thing.

That sentiment was espoused on TikTok by user dgaf423 who took issue with the claim that Lily had been exposed.

Exposed for what? It’s only immature dudes who get no play that s** shame. Who tf cares lmao grow up,” the TikTok user dgaf423 blasted.

Just as the viral Hawk Tuah girl who completely dominated the trends for several days was dying down, Lily Lang showed up like a new hero, taking over to ensure the social media meme space continues churning out interesting content every second of every day.

Her story is receiving a much less positive response than that of Ms Welch but nevertheless, the internet can be bipolar in that way – wholesome one moment, completely despicable the next.

Meanwhile, Sydney Thomas, another college student is trending, although we can find very little about her other than that she’s a “St. Louis Cardinals girl and goes to Alabama,”. A Twitter user described her as the Alabama version of Lilly Lang.
