ORGINAL STORY

The Wright family of world-famous rodeo stars are currently in a deep and dark mood after Levi Wright, son of Spencer Wright and his wife Kallie, was involved in a tragic accident that has left him on the verge of death’s door.

Levi ‘Beans’ Wright, a young child, rode his toy tractor into a river in Beaver.

He was pulled out and flown to hospital for treatment, but he reportedly was underwater for too long and appears to have suffered irreversible brain damage.

Since then, the family had announced plans to take him off life support, then later rescinded their decision, pushing it back for some hours, but it is expected that Levi would be out of this world soon enough with a day at most.

A most tragic event that has sent a family and a community into deep and sad mourning for a young innocent life lost due to an unexpected tragedy.

While the Wright family battles through this extremely difficult moment, a groundswell of support, love, and well-wishes have sprung up around them.

Levi might not make it but the love and support his condition has engendered will be felt by his family for months and years to come.

The Levi Wright accident

What happened to Levi Wright? Reports from the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office reveal that dispatchers received a call about a child who had driven his toy tractor into a river at around 6:02 p.m.

The reporting party said he’d lost visual contact of the child.

A massive response was initiated by dispatchers sending multiple agencies to the scene including the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office, the Utah Highway Patrol, the Beaver County Search and Rescue, Beaver Fire and Ambulance, and others, including volunteers.

Levi’s mother, Kallie Wright, also took to social media with a big cry for help.

“I need everyone in Beaver to come to my house and help find my son in the water!” she wrote.

The search by multiple agencies and volunteers quickly produced Levi and he was administered life-saving measures on-site.

More extraordinary measures were instituted to get him the best care possible as he was initially transported by ambulance to Beaver Valley Hospital where he was stabilized and cared for until he was airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.

His parents at that point initiated a social media quest for prayers and well wishes with friends and loved ones of the Wright family and beyond all sending in their best wishes.

Everyone expressed their sincerest hopes that young Levi Wright would pull through from this unfortunate accident and the Good Lord above was inundated with an unending dose of prayers, petitions, supplications, and all sorts of pleading one can think of.

Alas, it was not to be as the next update from the family was the scariest of all – an announcement that Levi was braindead and would be taken off life support.

The announcement, made on behalf of Spencer and Kallie Wright by a friend, Mindy, said even though Levi was alive and fighting, the family had decided to take him off life-support because the damage to his brain was irreversible.

That sent all friends and family waiting with bated breath on the young one’s condition into a deep and dark depression but there was to be one more twist to this saga!

In the latest update by Mindy, she said the family had reversed their earlier decision and was giving Levi more hours to fight.

“Don’t give up on my boy just yet, we switched staff this morning and our doctor was a little taken aback by her exam as they came in the room to end care,” the update read.

It said the doctor had recommended giving Levi more time and called on all those prayer warriors to get back to work once more.

“Pray the hardest you ever have, I beg of you!” Kallie and Spencer pleaded.

So this is the state of play right now in regards to this delicate situation.

Pray if you can for little Levi Wright because the battle is not over until it is over!
