Jennifer Newkirk identified as the First Lady of the Kay Branch Missionary Church in Hartsville, South Carolina, has died after being in a tragic accident.
Newkirk and her son Khaden both passed in the gruesome accident that has left members of the church and local community devastated.
Tributes and messages of condolences, prayers, and good thoughts have flooded the page of the church which announced the sad passing of the lady of the church and her son.

Jennifer Frederick Newkirk was the wife of Pastor Dr Rico A Newkirk, the head pastor of Kay Branch Missionary Baptist Church, a Baptist congregation located in Hartsville, South Carolina.
Jennifer is originally from Mount Olive, North Carolina, and resided in Bishopville, South Carolina with her husband and their brood of five children.
Her husband, Dr Rico Newkirk was not only the head pastor of the Kay Branch Missionary Baptist Church but was also a full-time teacher at Stover Middle School.
He studied at the North Carolina College of Theology University, having earlier been a student at Wallace-Rose Hill High School.

The couple together administered their robust congregation who dearly loved them.
Unfortunately, the Newkirk family were dealt a pretty severe blow by the tides of fate when news emerged on Friday, June 14th, 2024 that two members of the family had died in one incident.
A tragic accident robbed the world of the First Lady of the Church/Family, Jennifer Newkirk, and one of her sons, Thaden Newkirk.
The Kay Branch Missionary Baptist Church announced the sad news, writing: “Kay Branch Missionary Baptist Church regretfully announces the transition of First Lady, Jennifer Newkirk & Khaden Newkirk. We pray for the Newkirk family and all who are burdened by this loss,”
The post called for all and sundry to keep the Newkirk Family, Frederick Family, and the Kay Branch Church Family in their prayers.
The outpouring of grief that followed this news was immense with many people sharing their complete devastation.
Social media users revealed the positive impact Newkirk had played in their lives, while others hailed her husband and the impact his church had made in their communities.
Mrs Newkirk was remembered fondly for her warmth, beauty, excellence and motherly nature, and many more amazing qualities.
Thaden Newkirk was also not left out as he was remembered for his steadfastness to his family.
“I’ve been discombobulated all morning. My prayers are with the Pastor, his family, and all others who have been affected by these losses…Oh, God, help us please! As a person who wears my heart on my sleeve, situations like this are painful and too much to bear. Bring strength to us all, Lord God,” Tracy Michelle wrote on Facebook.
The entire Hartsville community and Christian fraternity beyond remain traumatized by this unexpected event.
The Newkirk’s have done a lot of good in people’s lives and that is being felt in the outpouring of love and support.
Mrs Newkirk leaves behind a strong legacy that is sure to stand the test of time. May she rest in peace.
