A woman who killed her two daughters, and then herself, in a tragic murder-suicide in Mechanic Falls has been identified.
Jennifer Barney was identified via a statement released by the Mechanic Falls Police Department following an autopsy.
Barney, 37, killed her two daughters, Hope West, 7, and Harmony West, 11 on Saturday, before killing herself.
The deaths of the two girls were ruled as homicide and Barney’s death as suicide.
Mechanic Falls Police were called to a residence on 5 Highland Avenue over a report of a stolen truck being parked at the residence.

A check in the house discovered a deceased adult female and two children.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted autopsies and determined the three were killed in a murder-suicide.
On Friday, the Maine Department of Public Safety announced the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined one of the girls died of multiple stab wounds while the other died of multiple injuries.
“They were loved by everybody that knew them,” their paternal grandfather, Wilcox said.
“Harmony loved unicorns. Her favorite color was pink. She loved to wear makeup and dress up. Had lots of friends at school.”
