More details about the personal life of a Sangamon County Sheriff’s Deputy who has been charged with murder over the death of Sonya Massey are now emerging online.
Sean Patrick Grayson, 30, is the son of a decorated Navy Seal, Sean Grayson Sr.
Grayson is also engaged to Isabel R Butterfield, a nurse in Springfield, with their wedding scheduled for October.
According to details floating around on social media, Isabel, 28, resides in Riverton, IL, and is a nurse or Physician’s Assistant at Central Counties Health Centers on Cook St.
She is engaged to be married to Sean on October 19, 2024. It’s not clear at the moment if that marriage is happening or not.
Sean Grayson was arrested and charged with murder Wednesday in connection to the shooting death of Sonya Massey, a Springfield Il resident on July 6th.
Massey reportedly called the police to report an intruder in her home but things took a turn for the worse as the arriving officers shot her instead.
Grayson then claimed she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound but the coroner’s report refuted that.
He was arrested and charged with 3 counts of First Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Official Misconduct.
