Gordon Carmichael, 15-year-old Greenbrier High School Student Killed in Evans Car Crash

A 15-year-old Greenbrier High School student was killed following a car crash in Evans, Georgia on Thursday.

Gordon Carmichael, of Evans GA, reportedly left home overnight and taken his parents’ Jeep driving around when he lost control and crashed into some pine trees on Riverwood Parkway and Amberley Drive.

Carmichael’s mother reported him missing around 5:50 a.m. after waking up and discovering him missing.

The teenager died in the crash which was discovered by authorities around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Greenbrier High School officials stated in a Facebook post that all athletic events on Thursday were canceled.

Carmichael was a sophomore and a member of the Greenbrier football team, although he was not playing this fall due to an injury.
