Colin Gray, Apalachee High School Shooter Colt Gray’s Father Arrested, Charged with Manslaughter

Colin Gray, the father of the 14-year-old who shot up a high school in Winder GA, has been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting.

Colt, the Apalachee high school shooter, reportedly received the weapon used in the crime as a Christmas gift from his father, months after they were questioned over threats he had apparently made about shooting up a school at their home in Georgia.

Collin Gray, 54, has been charged with 4 counts of Involuntary Manslaughter, 2 counts of Second Degree Murder, and 8 counts of Cruelty to Children. He now joins his son, Colt Gray behind bars, who the public got a first look at after his mughshot emerged online a few hours ago.

Colt himself faces four counts of felony murder and is being tried as an adult.

The Apalachee high school shooting occurred Wednesday, September 4th, and left four people dead and nine injured.

Following the shooting, it emerged that law enforcement had interviewed Colt and his father Colin in regards to an anonymous tip they had received about the teenager threatening a school shooting.

Colt denied making the posts and his father revealed that while he had weapons around, he kept them locked up.

Months later, he reportedly got his son a weapon as a Christmas gift.

On Thursday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced Colin was also getting arrested and charged.

“In coordination with District Attorney Brad Smith, the GBI has arrested Colin Gray, age 54, in connection to the shooting at Apalachee High School. Colin is Colt Gray’s father,” the GBI said in a statement.
