Two people died after a single-engine plane crashed near Bar Harbor, Maine, on Thursday.
The duo were identified Friday by Maine State Police as 71-year-old Michael Leibowitz, of Charleston, South Carolina, and the passenger was 57-year-old Christina Chung, of Livingston, New Jersey.
Leibowitz was the pilot and Chung was a passenger on the plane which was flying from New Jersey to Bar Harbor.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane crashed on approach to Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport at about 12:25 p.m. on Thursday.

It had taken off earlier from Morristown Municipal Airport in New Jersey.
The crash happened at the end of a runway and resulted in a fire.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
