A Dallas, Texas attorney Allie Porter Wahlig who died during childbirth has received massive support from her community as a GoFundMe fundraiser started in her honor raised a staggering amount.
Wahlig, a talented associate at Norton Rose Fullbright, tragically passed away over the weekend, leaving her family devastated.
To support her husband Brian and their daughter, Emma, the community started a GoFundMe effort that exceeded all expectations.
The Allie Wahlig GoFundMe at the time of filing this report had almost hit its target of $150,000 for the surviving duo of Brian and Emma Porter Wahlig.
The communities of Dallas and San Antonio, where Allie is originally from, all came together to raise this massive amount of money with support from Americans all over the web who heard of the tragic story of Allie.

Who is Allie Porter Wahlig?
Allie Porter Wahlig was an IP Disputes Associate with a focus on patent litigation at the firm Norton Rose Fulbright.
She has represented clients in numerous complex cases in relation to patent litigation.
Her experience crosses diverse technical areas including networking security, battery and electrochemical technology, and medical devices.
Allie studied bioengineering at Rice University and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law.
She was married to Brian and the couple had one daughter, Emma.
Allie had been really excited about her second baby and recently shared shots from a photoshoot with Brian ahead of the baby’s birth.
Unfortunately, their attempt to expand the family ended up in tragedy.
Allie’s death left not only her family devastated but many others who knew her were stunned as well.
“My heart breaks as I learned an attorney at my firm passed during childbirth this weekend. I cannot fathom the pain and grief this family is experiencing,” one user wrote on Facebook.
