William Owens Arrested and Charged with Murder Following Shooting at Oz Tactical in Newnan

A 28-year-old woman was shot and killed inside a downtown Newnan business on Friday.

Olivia Robinson, of Newnan, died inside Oz Tactical at 1E Court Square around 9 p.m. Friday.

Newnan PD arrested William Brannon Owens, 38, on Saturday morning and charged him with aggravated assault and murder.

He is being held at the Coweta County Jail.

Newnan Police were called to the address at 9:17 p.m. on Friday in regards to an unknown issue at the store.

When officers arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound.

She was provided with emergency care but tragically succumbed to her injuries.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is assisting with the investigation, which remains ongoing. No motive has been provided, and further details are expected as the case develops.
