A man who was killed in an accident in Topeka, Kansas when a car ran off a road and hit a nearby home has been identified.
Troy L Fields Jr, 36, of Topeka, was in a car headed eastbound on Huntoon St. Thursday when it went off the road and into a yard, then went airborne.
Fields, who was in the passenger seat, was thrown out of the car and landed on the porch roof.
He was taken to the hospital where he tragically succumbed to his wounds.
Topeka Police were called to Huntoon St. and Plass Ave. in regards to a crash around 11:35 p.m. Thursday.

When they arrived, they discovered a car which had ran off the road into a nearby home.
According to Topeka PD, the car was eastbound on Huntoon St. when it went off the road and into a yard, then went airborne, hit the front of the house, and landed upside-down on the porch.
Troy Fields who was in the passenger seat presumably without his seatbelt on was thrown from the vehicle and landed on the porch roof.
He later died at the hospital.
Authorities were able to speak with him and the driver before he was carried off.
Investigations into the crash remain ongoing.
