A Whitehouse, TN man identified as Ryan Bagwell has been arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter following a Wednesday crash that killed one person.
Police in Bowling Green, KY, were called to the scene of a traffic collision around 6:13 a.m. Wednesday at the 300 block of Lovers Lane near the entrance to the Briarwood Elementary School and the Warren County Board of Education.
Arriving officers found one person, 40-year-old Ashley C Porter of Bowling Green dead from the crash.
Officers determined that Bagwell was traveling north on Lovers Lane when he drove into Porter’s lane as she was traveling south, causing a head-on collision.

Bagwell was injured and transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
He has been charged with vehicular homicide when under the influence of drugs/substance, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, and possession of marijuana, among others.
The suspect is being held at the Warren County Detention Center.
