A Redmond, Washington couple, Matthew and Claire Dorsett have been identified as the two fatalities of a three-car crash that occurred on Highway 26 Sunday afternoon.
The couple who’d been married less than a year were traveling eastbound near milepost 32 on Highway 26 when a westbound Volkswagen Tiguan driven by a juvenile female entered the eastbound lanes and struck their BMW 540.
That spun their car into the westbound lanes where they were struck by a westbound Tesla 3, leading to both their deaths.
Following the crash, Matthew Dorsett, 32, who was driving the BMW, and his wife Claire Elise Kidd Dorsett, 31, both of Redmond, Washington, were declared dead on the scene.

The juvenile driver of the Volkswagen suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, as did the driver of the Tesla.
Oregon State Police say the cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
Matthew and Claire Kidd were married in August 2023 and were just weeks away from their first wedding anniversary.
