Donna Boatwright, 41, has been arrested and charged in connection to the death of her fiancé who she got engaged to merely a month ago.
Boatwright, of Aiken, was arrested Monday afternoon by the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office during a traffic stop.
A deputy found her deceased fiancé, Billy Reedy Jr, 46, dead of a gunshot wound in a wooded area down in an embankment in the area of Vaucluse Road and Senn Street.
The deputy was patrolling the area around 5 a.m. when he noticed a suspicious vehicle parked by the side of the road.
Further inspection of the vehicle led to the discovery of the deceased body.

Following the discovery, authorities identified Boatwright as a suspect and arrested her Monday afternoon.
According to those close to the couple, Donna and Billy lived together and had happily taken their engagement photos last month.
Authorities are yet to identify a motive for the killing.
An autopsy for Billy Reedy Jr is scheduled for Thursday in Newberry. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s office will both partake in this investigation.
